About Us
The Upper Leon River Municipal Water District (ULRMWD) is a conservation and reclamation district created by Acts 1961, 57th Legislature, Regular Session, Ch. 405 (Vernon's Ann. Civ. St. 8280-257). This act was amended by:

The ULRMWD's purpose was established by virtue of Article XVI, Section 59 of the Texas Constitution. This purpose is as follows:
​

provide a source of Water supply for municipal, domestic, and industrial uses
-
processing the water
-
transporting the water to its constituent cities
​
The District's constituent cities are as follows:
​

Hamilton -- Hamilton County
-
Gorman -- Eastland County
-
Dublin -- Erath County
-
De Leon -- Comanche County
-
Comanche -- Comanche County
​
The District is authorized to enter into contracts with Potential Cites, cities which may later be annexed, and others for supplying water to them.
