Water Analysis

The Water Analysis Reports are the results of chemical sampling required of all Public Water Supplies (PWS).  The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has primacy over drinking water, based on TCEQ's promulgation and implementation of requirements at least as stringent as the federal EPA rules.  The regulations requiring chemical sampling are contained in Drinking Water Standards Governing Drinking Water Quality and Reporting Requirements for Public Water Systems (RG-346-30 TAC Chapter 290, Subchapter F).

The analyte and the sampling frequency is determined by TCEQ.  Additionally these samples are collected and analyzed by TCEQ agents and not by the Public Water System personnel.  This system provides assurance to the water system customers of adequate an accurate testing for the federally regulated or monitored contaminants in the drinking water supply.

Additional information about the above Water Analysis Reports, or information from reporting years not listed, may be obtained by contacting the Water District's General Office.
