Current History

With loans and grants received from the USDA / Rural Development, the District began a series of system extensions and improvements which continue today. After completion of over 20 miles of transmission lines to create a backup or emergency supply for much of the system the District developed residential service lines that have helped provide treated water to over 350 additional homes in rural areas.

Funding assistance through the USDA / Rural Development continues as projects to convert 37 miles of raw water transmission lines to a treated water supply for the City of Hamilton begin. Additionally, a new waste water treatment system is being constructed that will provide services for the new Comanche County Consolidated Hospital District Hospital Complex scheduled for completion in the second half of 2005.
